Cursed Text Generator

About this tool

Cursed text is the extreme end of glitch text. It uses the same combining characters, but this page begins with a high intensity and a large number of “through” marks, which cross the letters instead of just sitting above and below them. That makes the letters look scratched out, haunted or corrupted.

Because heavy output is long, this page limits the default text length to 200 characters, and the engine caps both the number of marks per letter and the total output size. You can still raise the length slider. Try a bold or fraktur letter style under the effect; heavier base letters survive heavy marks better than thin ones.

How to use the cursed text generator

1. Type a short name or phrase. Two or three words is plenty.
2. Leave the intensity high for a fully cursed look, or lower it a little for readability.
3. Try the Letter style menu, for example bold or fraktur.
4. Copy it and test where it will be posted.

Examples

Good uses

• Horror game or channel titles.
• Halloween captions.
• Creepy-pasta storytelling.
• Joke “cursed” usernames in places that allow them.

Compatibility and limits

Very heavy text may be shortened, ignored or rejected by apps that limit combining characters. It can also overlap neighboring lines on websites. Keep the output short, and avoid using it in places where people need to read your message to act on it.

Text made with Unicode characters can be hard for screen readers to read and may not match searches for the original words. Keep names, links and important details in plain text.
